You want koryu? Come to Japan! by Diane Skoss

Several of my statements in recent columns have provoked comment by AJ readers, particularly Messrs. Lake and Baluja, which merit a response. I had intended to reply to both of these gentleman (see page 7), but in discussing these “letters to the editor” with Diane, I found her chain of thought regarding the practice of koryu bujutsu to be a good deal more cogent than mine (I won’t burden you with details of how often this proves to be the case). Further, she wanted to convey her thoughts to all of you who read this column, and has done so in a way that I envy. Here she is:
